 I've
got a new CD out—The Ground. It's big-production,
symphonic pop and was a gigantic undertaking. I wrote
the majority
of it in late 2000 on a retreat of solitude in
Joshua Tree, a
small town in California's high desert.
It's quiet there. I went
for long walks—hours every day—
where all I could hear was the
chilly wind blowing and
my own voice singing my potential
melodies.
